Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Forklift Operator in Houston, TX to support distribution center operations. You will handle goods, load/unload, and maintain safety while reporting to the Distribution Center Manager.

The role offers a steady schedule, weekend OT as needed, and a path from temporary to permanent employment. Responsibilities include operating forklifts, inventory checks, packing, shipping documents, and collaboration with customers and suppliers to ensure accurate orders.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations (receiving, inventory, shipping).
• Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment (wrapping machines, banding equipment, cranes/cherry pickers) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, and coworkers to ensure accuracy during ordering.
• Unload shipments; inspect and verify items against packing lists for accuracy and quality.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other heavy equipment to transfer and store products.
• Conduct inventory counts and assist with restocking.
• Follow safety policies and maintain warehouse cleanliness per OSHA/OHS standards.
• Prepare shipping documentation and assist with order assembly and transfers.
