Trident Seafoods is hiring for a forklift/warehouse associate. You will operate powered industrial trucks to move products, load and unload materials, and support inventory processes in a cold, wet environment. The role requires forklift certification or the ability to obtain it, plus 3–6 months of related experience.

Responsibilities

Summary :

Drives gasoline, liquified gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials.

Essential F unctions : (Res ponsibilities , Tasks, Supervisory Needs)

• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
• Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.
• Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
• Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
• Lubricates truck, recharges/changes batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces liquefied gas tank.
• May be assigned work in sub -zero freezer area with proper company PPE provided.

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet, humid and cold conditions ,and moving mechanical parts.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. May be required to distinguish shades of color to identify abnormalities and/or defects in food products .

Work Ability Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
