Job summary

Echo Global Logistics, Inc is seeking a forklift driver for Roadtex Transportation operations. The role focuses on safe forklift operation, loading/unloading, and maintaining inventory accuracy in a warehouse setting.

The position requires basic education, pass of internal forklift certification, and ability to work in varied temperatures and conditions. Teamwork and attention to detail are essential for daily duties and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to successfully pass internal Forklift Certification Training and demonstrate safety procedures.
• Able to perform job tasks in dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting the forklift before use to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Loading and unloading materials and goods onto and off trucks, trailers, or storage areas using the forklift.
• Maintaining inventory records and reporting any discrepancies to management.
• Ensuring that the forklift is always operated in a safe and responsible manner.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Reporting any forklift malfunctions or maintenance needs to management.
• Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed.
