Job summary

Altium Packaging is seeking a Forklift Operator at our Baltimore, MD location. The role involves operating a forklift to stack and retrieve materials, while adhering to our Good Manufacturing Practices.

Key duties include loading/unloading, ensuring safe handling, tracking materials, and maintaining production flow. A GED or high school diploma and OSHA forklift certification are required; overtime may be necessary.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to stack and retrieve supplies and materials in accordance with GMP.
• Load trucks and secure products per customer requirements.
• Move materials onto/off pallets and onto lifting devices.
• Monitor material usage and supply lines with raw materials.
• Weigh materials or products and record results.
• Keep lines supplied with raw materials and label products.
• Unload, stack, and move material using lifting equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Overtime may be required due to business needs.

Job Summary

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift truck to stack and retrieve supplies and materials as well as following our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies
• Load trucks and secure product in accordance with customer requirements
• Load and unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device
• Monitor material usage on work floor and supply production lines with raw materials
• Weigh materials or products and record results on tags, labels, or production schedules
• Keep production lines supplied with raw materials
• Inventory product as needed. And label, sort, wrap and tie product
• Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device
• Other duties as assigned by management
• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Minimum Requirements

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Current OSHA forklift driving certification
