Mac-Lad Corp is seeking a highly independent, reliable, responsible, and hard-working candidate to fill the open position of Forklift Operator And Warehouse/Yard Associate!

We are a family owned and operated, mid-sized building material supplier located on the East End of Long Island, NY. We have a small fleet of 11 trucks that perform daily deliveries of mostly drywall, metal and hardware items to commercial and residential job sites.

Your position will focus on safe and efficient movement of products and materials within our warehouse and yard. You will also be responsible for inventory control, loading our trucks daily, trailer receiving, and you will be the main point of contact between the warehouse and office.

You will be expected to work every morning starting at 4am Monday- Friday. The shift end time varies but you will generally be done around 3pm, so you will be getting overtime pay every week.

Responsibilities:

• Operate various vehicles for storage or removal of materials
• Prepare products and materials for shipment
• Load, unload, and stage products and materials
• Track and record units of materials handled
• Help with customer pick-ups to our warehouse and yard
• Maintain good relationship with customers and coworkers
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience in general labor, construction, or other related fields not required but preferred
• Familiarity with pallet jack, forklift, or other industrial vehicles
• Forklift certification strongly preferred
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift and move 100 pounds
• Must be able to get up and down a forklift on their own
• Positive attitude and ability to peacefully resolve conflicts
• Strong work ethic
