Pratt Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator in Raleigh, NC for a full-time, hourly role. The operator will handle loading, unloading, and moving products from inventory to machines and onto trailers, ensuring accurate tag scanning and safe operation.

The position emphasizes safety, daily equipment inspections, and adherence to production schedules. The role requires a licensed forklift operator, strong communication and numerical skills, and the ability to work in a non-climate-controlled

Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure safety policies & procedures are observed by all.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment.

• Use scanners to verify inventories and load tags.
• Move products to trailer loading and into inventory as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

Overview:

• Receives product off the main banding line.
• Checks load tags and either loads the product into the specified trailer(s), or moves product into inventory.
• Moves product from inventory to machines.
• Completes the required paper work.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Follow and help to ensure that fellow workers adhere to all applicable safe work policies & procedures.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment.
• Be constantly vigilant and maintain a safe & clean work area.
• Utilize scanners and ensure inventories are kept accurate.
• Ensure that all orders produced are moved to the next operation.
• Handle product to minimize damage
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed powered industrial truck operator
• Must be able to operate a lift truck safely with minimal product damage
• Must be able to accurately scan load tags and maintain accurate inventories
• Must be able to read and follow production schedules

Required Skills:

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred, not required.
• Forklift license required.

Physical Demands:

• The employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear.
• The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit.
• Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• Work space is not climate controlled and can reach both hot and cold extremes (30 degrees - 110 degrees Fahrenheit).
