Job summary

Watershed Foods LLC in Gridley, IL is seeking a Forklift Operator to perform warehousing duties that support food quality, safety, and personnel safety. You will operate a forklift to stage, store, load, and unload materials for Production.

The role requires adherence to GMPs and food safety policies, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and team collaboration to maintain a clean, organized warehouse and accurate inventory.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to GMPs and Food Safety Policies to maintain a safe work environment.
• Operate forklift to stage, store, load, and unload materials for Production.
• Report safety and quality concerns to area leads and shift lead.
• Maintain warehouse and freezer in a clean, obstacle-free condition.
• Follow Shipping & Receiving procedures including allergen separation and product identification.
• Assist Warehouse Manager with physical inventory counts.
• Break down pallets as needed.
• Perform sanitation duties as needed.
• Perform Master Cleaning Schedule duties as needed.
• Make process improvement suggestions.
• Dispose of waste material and used packaging properly.
• Record quality data such as weights, lot numbers, and temperature checks.

The Forklift Operator will perform warehousing duties to ensure food quality, food safety, and personnel safety are achieved.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Adhere to GMP’s and Food Safety Policies, Occupational Safety Policies maintain a safe work environment.
• Operate forklift to stage, store, load, and unload materials required for Production.
• Report Food Safety, Quality and Occupational Safety concerns area leads and to shift lead.
• Maintain the warehouse and freezer in a clean and free of obstacles condition.
• Closely understand and adhere to all Shipping & Receiving procedures including, but not limited to, allergen separation, product identification, and cleaning and sanitation.
• Assist Warehouse Manager with physical inventory counts
• Break down pallets as necessary.
• Perform sanitation duties as needed.
• Perform Master Cleaning Schedule duties as needed
• Make process improvement suggestions.
• Properly dispose of waste material and used packaging supplies.
• Record quality data such as weights, lot numbers, temperature checks, etc. and directed by the Warehouse Manager or Quality Department
• Assist other employees as needed to complete tasks.
