Job summary

Adecco Staffing is seeking a Forklift Operator for a 2nd shift in Ayer, MA. This temp-to-hire opportunity supports a food-grade manufacturing facility with responsibilities including material handling, loading/unloading, and order fulfillment.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid forklift and pallet jack certification, and at least 1 year in warehousing. Proficiency with RF scanners and ERP systems is a plus, with a strong focus on safety and attendance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency is required.
• Fluent English is required.
• Forklift and Pallet Jack certification are required.
• Minimum of 1 year in warehousing or logistics.
• Experience with ERP systems and RF scanners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely in a food-grade manufacturing facility and follow SOPs, GMPs, and company policies.
• Perform loading/unloading and accurate picking, staging, and loading of orders as directed.
• Maintain a reliable attendance record and contribute to warehouse productivity goals (e.g., pallet shipments).
• Conduct routine forklift inspections, battery maintenance, and daily checklists; report issues promptly.
• Assist with cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and FIFO material movement.
