Job Details

• Pay: $19.85/hr
• Hours: 2:30PM - 11:00PM (may vary)

Summary

This role involves the safe and efficient operation of the CAS Forklift during production hours.

Responsibilities

1. Remove cages from semi for slaughter
2. Place cages on dumping rollers
3. Remove emptied cages and return to semi
4. Handle birds per Animal Welfare Standards
5. Conduct daily forklift inspections and minor repairs
6. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

1. Successful completion of forklift training
2. Ability to operate forklift safely in all weather conditions
3. Work safely around machinery
4. Perform safety inspections and record data
5. Basic maintenance skills
6. Adherence to Animal Welfare Standards
7. Willing to work overtime and respond to emergencies
8. Ability to work independently

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Includes lifting up to 45 lbs., working in varying postures, and exposure to outdoor conditions, dust, and odors.

Experience

At least 6 months of production or forklift experience is required.

Rehire Policy

• Maximum of two previous Tyson employments considered
• 90-day waiting period between employments
