Job summary

Farmer Veteran Coalition in Schuyler, Nebraska is seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to move materials and finished products in a production/warehouse setting. You will load/unload, scan items, and help maintain safety and quality standards during a fast-paced shift.

The role requires 18+ years, US work eligibility, forklift operation or certification, basic math, and data entry skills. This is a full-time evening shift with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to operate a forklift or obtain certification upon hire.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) to move materials, pallets, and products within production and warehouse areas.
• Load and unload trucks, storage areas, and production lines safely and efficiently.
• Use scanning tools and computer systems to complete basic records.
• Inspect equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Perform job duties in a fast-paced production setting with required PPE; standing, climbing, bending, twisting as needed.
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested.
• Follow all safety, food safety, and regulatory policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

Forklift Operators safely move materials and finished products throughout the production and warehouse areas. You will play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly by ensuring products are handled correctly while meeting safety and quality standards.

What You Will Do

• Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) to move materials, pallets, and products within production and warehouse areas.
• Load and unload trucks, storage areas, and production lines safely and efficiently.
• Use scanning tools and computer systems to complete basic records.
• Inspect equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Perform job duties in a fast-paced, cold, or warm production setting with required PPE while engaging in physical tasks such as standing for long periods of time, climbing, bending, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested.
• Follow all safety, food safety, and regulatory policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need
