Position Summary:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The following requirements are those that are normally required for performance of the Forklift position. Role in Food Safety : Follow plant GMP’s at all times, ensure work area is secure and monitor and document fruit receiving CCP.

A. Physical Requirements:

• Ability to turn head to look right/left as well as up and down.
• Ability to steer using steering wheel.
• Ability to move right arm/hand forward and backwards to move the gear that moves forks up and down.
• Ability to apply pressure on gas and brake pedals using right and left legs/feet.
• Ability to get on and off the forklift several times per day (fueling, do paperwork).
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

B. Non-Physical Requirements:

• Education:
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience:
• Minimum one year experience in the fruit industry preferred.
• Experience with forklifts and bin dumpers preferred.

• Backup for Forklift Driver would be another qualified Forklift Driver from the same shift or different shifts to cover the 8-hour shift.
