Job summary

Sun-Rype Products (USA), Inc. in Wapato, WA is seeking an organized forklift operator to support fruit processing operations. You will load/offload trucks, document shipments, move materials, label loads, and conduct regular inventory while maintaining safety.

Qualifications

Position Summary

Operate forklift to assist in the processing of fruit.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The following requirements are those that are normally required for performance of the Forklift position. Role in Food Safety

Follow plant GMP’s at all times, ensure work area is secure and monitor and document fruit receiving CCP.

A. Physical Requirements

• Ability to turn head to look right/left as well as up and down.
• Ability to steer using steering wheel.
• Ability to move right arm/hand forward and backwards to move the gear that moves forks up and down.
• Ability to apply pressure on gas and brake pedals using right and left legs/feet.
• Ability to get on and off the forklift several times per day (fueling, do paperwork).
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

B. Non-Physical Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Experience: Minimum one year experience in the fruit industry preferred.
• Experience with forklifts and bin dumpers preferred.
• Special Skills: Ability to high stack bins.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Ability to work any shift.
