The Forklift Operator safely transports full and partial pallets within the warehouse using the Order Pickers and assists in loading and unloading trucks. Strong attention to safety and accuracy is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and speak English.
• Basic math and measurement skills are required.
• Minimum one year warehouse experience operating forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Pulls stock into pallets and transports pallets using forklifts to docks or storage areas.
• Ensures correct pallets are selected and stored in the proper location.
• Assists in loading/unloading trucks and other warehouse areas as needed.
• Follows safety procedures for equipment maintenance and operation.
• Moves pallets in and out of the stretch wrapper area.
• Meets or exceeds productivity goals.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Forklift Operator safely transports full and partial pallets within the warehouse using the Order Pickers. Also assists in other areas of the warehouse including but not limited to loading and unloading trucks.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Pulls appropriate stock inventory into pallets and transports pallets utilizing forklifts to and from docks; racks and bulk storage areas per facility standards.
• Ensures the proper pallets are selected and put away in correct location.
• Assists in other areas of the warehouse as needed including loading/unloading of trucks.
• Follows proper maintenance and safety procedures to ensure safe operation, upkeep and storage of equipment.
• Moves pallets in and out of the stretch wrapper area.
• Meets or exceeds performance and productivity goals.
• Additional duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to follow instructions, read and speak English
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Minimum one year warehouse experience working on forklifts
• Must be able to operator a Sit-down Forklift and Stand-up forklift

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Some experience necessary

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Strong physical endurance
• Ability to be on your feet for an 8-hour shift
• Ability to kneel and maneuver through plant equipment
