Job summary

Lifeway Foods, Inc. is a Chicago-based beverage manufacturer that produces Kefir and other dairy products. We are seeking a Dairy Process Worker I to join the production team to follow directions and work cooperatively to ensure orders are completed.

First Shift: Monday through Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm, with occasional Saturdays. High school diploma required; no prior experience needed. Training will cover SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs, and general safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to read basic instructions.

Responsibilities

• Report to workstation on time.
• Wear proper work attire.
• Assist in setting up work area.
• Follow SOP, SSOP, GMP, and general safety policies.
• Perform all assigned production tasks.
• Inform line leader of any issues or questions that might arise.
• Ensure the work is being done accurately and to completion.
• Maintain workstation organized and sanitized.
• Sanitize all machinery equipment and non-machinery equipment including ladders, windows, floors, and drains.
• Prepare and weigh ingredients for mixing.
• Additional Duties as assigned.

Job Summary: The Dairy Process Worker I will have the ability to follow directions and work cooperatively with the production team to ensure the completion of orders.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Report to workstation on time

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to calculate basic math and read
• Ability to actively listen to instructions and understand basic English

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• No experience necessary

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Ability to be on your feet for an 8-hour shift
• Ability to climb on ladders and maneuver through equipment
