Job description

Role & Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all safety and housekeeping requirements within a plant warehouse setting.
• Operate a forklift to load and unload finished products and raw materials efficiently from trucks, railcars, and the production line.
• Interpret customer orders to accurately pull, stage, load, and check materials for timely shipment.
• Record shipping data and other relevant information as required.
• Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Participate actively in plant safety initiatives and continuous improvement programs as directed by supervision.
• Be adaptable to scheduling needs, including shift work, overtime, and weekend assignments where applicable.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Ability to operate a forklift safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Skills to inspect and troubleshoot forklifts, maximizing operational uptime.
• Ability to understand and interpret verbal instructions and written documents such as customer orders.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Accuracy in recording shipping data.
• Basic maintenance skills to assist in equipment servicing.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills with all co-workers.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on qualifications and experience.
