Job summary

Diversified Foods and Seasonings, a division of Al Copeland Investments, is seeking a Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift (11 am – 7:30 pm) in Madisonville, LA. You will support production by moving materials, loading trucks, and maintaining inventory accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have forklift experience, physical stamina for long shifts, and the ability to pass a drug screen while supporting food safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Must be able to stand 10 hours, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must pass a drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move raw materials, finished goods, and supplies safely.
• Load and unload trucks and ensure proper placement of materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory by transporting materials to storage and monitoring stock levels.
• Perform basic maintenance checks on forklift equipment and report malfunctions.

What You’ll

Do As a Forklift Operator, you’ll be a key part of our production team, ensuring food safety, quality, and efficiency.

• Operate forklifts to move raw materials, finished goods, and supplies to designated locations in a safe and efficient manner.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are correctly placed and safely transported.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by transporting materials to storage areas and monitoring stock levels.
• Perform basic maintenance checks on forklift equipment and report any malfunctions or necessary repairs.

What You Bring

• Experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Physical capability to stand for 10 hours, lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in fast-paced conditions.
• Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends.
• Must pass a drug screen.
