Job summary

Catallia Mexican Foods is seeking an experienced Warehouse Technician Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our team in a food manufacturing setting. This hands-on role covers shipping, receiving, and warehousing to maintain a safe, productive plant environment.

Schedule is 2nd shift, 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional biweekly Saturday overtime to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of sit-down forklift experience and operate forklift for about 90% of shift.
• At least 1 year of warehouse experience (order picking, shipping/receiving, loading/unloading).
• Proficient with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic computer applications.
• Effective English communication, both written and verbal.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Use Plex to track inventory, generate reports, and streamline operations.
• Confirm inbound shipment documentation per guidelines.
• Visually inspect and count inbound loads for quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with production to ensure materials are available on time.
• Load outbound shipments and document them accurately.
• Interact with drivers, delivery personnel, and contractors.
• Maintain dock and storage area cleanliness and organization.
• Rotate inventory using first in, first out (FIFO).
• Navigate Plex Warehouse Management System.
• Operate electric sit-down forklift and electric pallet jack.
• Actively participate in food safety and adhere to policies; operate a 25' box truck within campus boundaries.

Catallia Mexican Foods is looking for an experienced Warehouse Technician Sit- Down Forklift Operator with expertise in food manufacturing to join our team!

2nd Shift/ 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m./ Monday - Friday

*To meet operational needs, occasional biweekly Saturday overtime will be part of our standard schedule.

Position Overview

This is a hands-on position and will require that the individual be responsible for all aspects of the shipping, receiving, and warehousing functions within the plant. This individual will be responsible for contributing to a consistent, safe, and productive work environment through participation in corporate programs.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions

• Utilize warehouse management systems (PLEX) to track inventory, generate reports, and streamline operations.
• Confirms that the documentation for incoming shipments is in accordance with the established guidelines.
• Visually inspects and counts inbound loads to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Works with production to ensure materials are available in a timely manner.
• Loads and accurately documents outbound shipments of finished product.
• Interact with a wide variety of drivers, delivery personnel, and contractors.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of dock and storage areas.
• Rotates inventory according to first in, first out guidelines.
• Navigate PLEX the Warehouse Management System.
• Operation of the electric sit-down forklift.
• Operation of electric pallet jack.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in Food Safety and Food Defense related activities.
• Adhere to operational and personnel policies and procedures.
• Safely operate a 25' box truck within campus boundaries.

Basic Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of experience operating a sit-down forklift and be able to operate the forklift for approximately 90% of the work shift.
• Must have at least 1 year of warehouse experience, including order picking, shipping and receiving, and loading and unloading trucks.
• Must be proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic computer applications.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and bend throughout the assigned shift.
• Must be comfortable working in a loud and fast-paced environment.
• Must be comfortable performing repetitive movements and tasks.
• Must be comfortable working in a hot environment.
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations (order picking, shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks)
• Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment.
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Ability to work alone or in teams.
• Commitment to process improvement.
• Ability to multitask.
• Self-motivated.
