Job summary

Abbott in Columbus, Ohio is hiring a Plant Utility in the Nutrition Division. The role supports Plant Material Control and Columbus Distribution Center functions, including receiving, loading/unloading, BOLs, and shipping office tasks, while upholding GMP, safety and quality standards.

Shifts are 1st shift, Thursday to Sunday, 7:00 am–5:30 pm (4 x 10-hour days). A high school diploma or GED and forklift experience with certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience using forklifts.
• Forklift certified.
• 6+ months of job experience within distribution center warehousing operations.
• Experience with tools and equipment related to the position (hand tools, full body harness, sit-down forklift, stand up pick vehicle, computer knowledge).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
• In-depth knowledge of receiving/warehouse operations and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Receiving Operations: document, data entry, and safe processing of inbound pallets in WMS.
• Loading, Unloading, Case picking, Labelling, High-Stacking, and Palletizer operations with safety and accuracy.
• Shipping/Receiving Office Functions: release orders, maintain documentation and data accuracy, sign-off on BOLs.
• General functions: clean GMP areas, support CI program, assist management as needed.
