Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely operate forklifts for stacking material, loading trailers, and emptying containers across the facility. The role requires OSHA forklift certification, vigilance in safety, and reliable performance on 1st shift.

Responsibilities include equipment inspections, loading trailers, organizing warehouse material, and coordinating with supervisors to maintain efficient daily operations while adhering to all safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of forklift operation experience.
• Must complete and pass OSHA forklift certification per 29 CFR 1910.178.
• Good time management to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Professional, courteous demeanor toward customers and co-workers.
• Ability to adhere to company policies and safety standards.
• Experience working in OSHA-regulated sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the forklift and ensure equipment is in good working condition.
• Report to shift supervisor for daily assignments.
• Load trailers safely and efficiently.
• Organize material in the warehouse for efficient access.
• Coordinate with supervisor to empty containers and trash as needed.
• Monitor equipment condition to minimize downtime and maintain readiness.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
