Dessert Holdings is hiring a Forklift Operator for the 1st shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) in Aurora, CO. You will count and package finished goods, stage for loading, and transport materials between the warehouse and shipping areas.

The role requires forklift certification, reliability, and ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Responsibilities include receiving raw materials, performing cycle counts, and maintaining quality and SOP adherence while collaborating with team

Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Must pass Forklift training and receive certification.
• Must be able to read and write in either English or Spanish.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment.
• Able to stay focused in a loud working environment.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment requiring strict work/safety rules 100% of the time.
• Demonstrates experience with loading trailers.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel or bend and stand for long periods.
• Employee must lift up to 55 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Count finished product cases from production and prepare for shipping.
• Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrap, boxing, labeling).
• Conduct cycle counts to ensure materials are available for production.
• Stage finished product for loading and load onto truck.
• Receive inbound raw materials and move to storage.
• Ensure quality control and adhere to SOPs and safety rules.
• Operate forklift safely and complete daily logs.
• Communicate with shifts and maintain clean work area.

What You'll Do Everyday

• Properly counts finished product cases from production.
• Packages finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
• Conduct cycle counts to ensure materials are available for production.
• Stages finished product for loading.
• Loads finished product onto truck.
• Unloads raw materials from truck.
• Drives box truck to shipping freezer and unloads finished product and returns box truck to dry warehouse for reloading process.
• Receives inbound raw materials.
• Moves raw materials to warehouse storage.
• Responsible for quality control; no damaged product is sent out. No damaged raw material is accepted in.
• Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Safely operates forklift.
• Completes daily logs.
• Communicates with operators from other shifts.
• Cleans and maintains work area.
• Turns off and locks out equipment when not in use.
• Understands the management of Quality Systems and is familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s).
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

• Must pass Forklift training and receive certification.
• Demonstrates safe forklift and electric walking pallet jack operations.
• Use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel or bend; must be able to talk and hear and expected to stand for at least eight hours a day.
• Employee must lift up to 55 pounds and is required to ask for assistance if limit is exceeded.
• Must be able to work in a food allergens environment.
• Working environment provides exposure to environmental changes (heat, cold, dampness, and chemicals).
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is expected to actively participate on the production floor.
