FORKLIFT OPERATOR 1ST SHIFT CARROLLTON GA

Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America, with operations in twelve Alaska communities and a global presence in six countries. We employ approximately 9,000 people worldwide and partner with over 5,400 independent fishermen and crewmembers. We harvest and process a wide variety of species, including salmon, whitefish, and crab from the North Pacific and Alaska.

Summary

The Forklift Operator drives gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric-powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices to move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties:

  • Operate forklifts and other lifting equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Move and position loads accurately in designated areas.
  • Unload, stack, and organize materials.
  • Maintain inventory records and supply materials as needed.
  • Follow all safety and food safety policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and control forklift operations, including positioning forks and lifting devices.
  • Transport loads to designated areas, ensuring safety and accuracy.
  • Unload and stack materials, raising and lowering lifting devices as needed.
  • Conduct inventory and record weights and other relevant data.
  • Operate in subzero freezer areas with proper PPE.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school, or 3-6 months related experience, or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License and forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 2 weeks).
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a production environment.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and read/interpret safety and operating documents.
Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, handle objects up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must have good vision and physical ability to perform job duties in various conditions.
