Job summary

Penguin Random House is seeking a Forklift Operator for our Westminster, MD distribution center. The role involves picking, packing and shipping up to 1.2 million books daily, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The first shift runs 7am–3pm on weekdays, onsite with competitive benefits.

Candidates must be able to lift 35–50lbs, operate forklifts and other pallet handling equipment, and be at least 18 years old. Prior warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 35lbs regularly, up to 50lbs occasionally.
• Must be able to safely operate powered industrial equipment (power jacks and pallet stackers).
• Minimum age is 18; prior experience is preferred.
• Must be able to operate a variety of forklift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack and ship approximately 1.2 million books daily for customers worldwide.
• Support distribution center operations and adhere to safety protocols.
