Job summary

Penguin Random House is hiring a Forklift Operator at our Westminster, MD distribution center. The role supports picking, packing and shipping processes for roughly 1.2 million books daily. Compensation includes a base rate of $20.00/hr plus a 15% shift differential, totaling $23.00/hr, with a 3rd shift schedule (Sun-Thu, 11:00pm–7:00am).

Background and drug screening are part of the process. Qualifications include lifting up to 35–50 lbs, operating forklift equipment, and a minimum age of 18;

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis, occasionally up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to safely operate powered industrial equipment (power jacks and pallet stackers).
• Minimum age is 18.
• Prior experience is preferred.
• Must be able to operate a variety of forklift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse equipment to pick, pack, and ship books.
• Maintain safety standards while handling materials and equipment.
• Adhere to shift schedules and productivity targets.
