Job summary

National Beef Packing Company LLC in Kansas City, Kansas, is seeking a forklift operator to join our team. You will operate forklifts safely, move products in a fast-paced meat processing environment, and help maintain orderly storage and loading procedures.

This is an on-site, safety-sensitive position requiring attention to GMP standards, PPE, and teamwork. Previous meat-industry or forklift experience is preferred; must be at least 18 and authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the meat industry preferred but not required.
• Previous forklift operator experience preferred; must have a safe forklift operation history.

Responsibilities

• Drive forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
• Navigate congested areas while operating forklift.
• Store products over-head safely.
• Rotate products daily.
• Know lock out and forklift check sheets.
• Know all loading procedures.
• Follow Food Safety/Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.
• Wear all required PPE.
• Understand safety procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Driving forklift in a safe and efficient manner
• Driving forklift in congested areas
• Storing products over-head safely
• Properly rotating products on a daily basis
• Being knowledgeable of all lock out and forklift check sheets
• Knowing all loading procedures
• Following all Food Safety/Good Manufacturing Practices requirements at all times
• Wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment
• Being trained in and understanding all associated safety procedures and Standard Operating Procedures
• Other duties as assigned

This is an on-site position. This is a safety sensitive position.
