Job summary

Keller Logistics Group is hiring forklift operators for our Napoleon, OH location. Positions cover 1st and 3rd shifts with hours 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.

Duties include loading/unloading, stacking, and locating stock, with safety and quality as priorities. Applicants must pass drug and background checks, obtain in-house Industrial Truck Certification, and be willing to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must pass a drug screen and a criminal background check prior to employment.
  • Must obtain Industrial Truck Certification through in house training.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested by Supervisor.
  • Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment.

Responsibilities

  • Check with Supervisor or Clerk for job orders.
  • Inspect powered industrial truck at start of shift and report issues.
  • Load, unload, and place product in proper storage bay stacked straight and neat.
  • Verify counts of incoming product and document changes.
  • Assist with inventory counts and proper stock rotation.
  • Follow OSHA safety procedures and use required protective equipment.

Job description

We are now hiring forklift operators to join the team at our Napoleon, OH location! Located atP314 County Road 12, Napoleon, OH 43545.If you're looking for long-term employment with a company you can grow with, this is the position for you!

Must pass a drug screen and a criminal background check prior to employment. Must be willing to assist at local warehouse locations in Defiance, Napoleon, and Archbold as needed.

Hiring for both 1st shift and 3rd shift positions.

1st shift hours:Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. If overtime is necessary, end time will be 4:00 p.m.

3rd shift hours:Monday through Friday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. If overtime is necessary, start time will be 8:00 p.m.

Job Overview:

What we're looking for

  • Knowledge of Industrial Truck Operational Procedures, including ability to handle product without damaging and the ability to use clamps, forks, and other attachments as needed.
  • Must obtain Industrial Truck Certification through in house training.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested by Supervisor.
  • Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
What you'll be doing
  • Check with Supervisor or Clerk for job orders.
  • At the beginning of each shift, inspect the powered industrial truck. Check for damage or problems and report them to your Supervisor. Document inspection on pre-operation inspection sheet.
  • Lock out / tag out unsafe or inoperable equipment.
  • Load, unload, and place product in proper storage bay stacked straight and neat.
  • Verify counts of incoming product, make necessary adjustments on paperwork, and initial any changes.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are free of damage and document or report immediately to supervisor.
  • Sign and date the paperwork when load is finished.
  • Accurately input information as trained with scanner, documenting all functions performed.
  • Ship accurate number of pieces per load worksheet.
  • Assist with inventory counts and proper stock rotation.
  • Change propane tanks properly and safely and change and charge batteries as needed.
  • Answer phones and take accurate messages.
  • Operate copy and fax machine as needed.
  • Use radio equipment for communication in a respectable manner.
  • Duties associated with housekeeping (throw away trash and sweep floors) and follow and maintain 5S standards.
  • Comply with OSHA standards and use safety equipment as required (eye and ear protection, back supports, and fall protection).
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Report immediately any and all incidents occurring on the forklift (i.e. damage to property, near misses, accidents, etc.)
