Job description

Schedule: Monday - Friday (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm) with some weekend work and overtime.

Position: Forklift Operator in Production Area.

The Forklift Driver / Material Handler tasks include, but are not limited to, general housekeeping, clean-up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework, and operating a motorized forklift along with various other duties as assigned.

• Must be trained and certified on forklift operation.
• Trained and capable of handling hazardous chemicals.
• Proficient in operating stretch wrappers.
• Must be skilled with forklift operations across all lines.
• Load trucks properly according to prescribed methods.
• Ability to complete and modify pick sheets as needed.
• Communicate professionally with visitors and customers.
• Basic operational knowledge of roll-up doors.
• Understand inventory procedures.
• Trained in pallet transfer operations.
• Ability to reconcile finished products.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and at heights.
