Forklift Operator - 12 Hour Night Shift (Finance)

JOB TITLE: Material Handler

Schedule: 12 Hour Night Shifts (6:30pm - 7:00am), days worked will rotate.

BASIC PURPOSE:

The Material Handler is responsible for picking orders, loading/unloading cases of product to and from trailers and containers, and ensuring the accuracy of all orders picked. The role also involves inspecting cases and products for quality issues. The incumbent will supply materials to their assigned production areas and lines, shrink-wrap materials for storage or return to the warehouse, and check pallet tickets and loads for accuracy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

% of time:

• 35%: Supply materials to the line
• 35%: Remove finished goods from the line
• 20%: SAP Transactions
• 10%: Forklift required checks

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Education (Minimum Needed): High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to understand, communicate, read, and write basic work-related English.

2. Experience (Minimum Needed): Must become certified to operate a forklift and pass a mandatory forklift physical.

3. Specialized Knowledge Needed for Performance of Job: Ability to identify various finished products, perform SAP transactions, routine forklift checks, change forklift batteries using PPE, operate and inspect hoists, assist in unloading raw and packaging materials, bale plastic and cardboard, and manage trash disposal.

4. Special Skills: Training to perform various warehouse tasks according to skill level and physical demands.

5. Other: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, SAP.

Physical Requirements:

• Rare lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ensure quality of products in all orders picked.
• Knowledge of warehouse operating procedures.
• Certification to operate a forklift.
