Job summary

Reliance, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator responsible for loading/unloading and moving inventory using heavy equipment according to work orders and supervisor directives. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to lift, move, position, and reposition steel and heavy material to stock areas.
• Load and unload trailers and/or railroad cars.
• Drive and operate forklift in varied conditions and spaces.
• Log and report inventory location changes into the inventory system or paperwork.
• Log and tag inventory received according to procedures.
• Assemble customer orders according to work orders.
• Record material information to work orders and forms as specified by management.
• Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
• Coordinate with multiple warehouse areas and coworkers to complete tasks.
• Maintain compliance with safety requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required as business needs dictate.
• Perform other warehouse tasks as needed.

Function in the Job

Job Function

• Responsible for operating fork truck to lift, move, position, and reposition steel and heavy material to stock areas.
• Load and unload trailers and/or railroad cars.
• Able to drive and operate the fork truck in a variety of conditions and spaces.
• Log and report inventory location changes according to specified procedure into inventory computer system and/or by paperwork.
• Log and tag inventory received according to specified procedure.
• Assemble customer orders according to work orders.
• Record pertinent material information to work orders, material, or other forms as specified by management.
• Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
• Works and coordinates with multiple areas of the warehouse, and coworkers to complete tasks.
• Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Safety sensitive for his/her owns safety and/or of others safety.

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $22.00/Hr. - USD $24.00/Hr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
