Job summary

Infra-Metals Co. is seeking a warehouse forklift operator to load/unload inventory and move materials with heavy-capacity equipment. You will follow supervisor directions and work orders to maintain stock and drive efficiency.

You will log inventory changes, assemble orders, and ensure accurate material handling while maintaining strict safety standards and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred candidates will have heavy capacity fork truck experience, material handling experience, and experience working with steel.

Responsibilities

  • Operate fork truck to lift, move, and position steel and heavy material to stock areas.
  • Load and unload trailers and railroad cars.
  • Drive the fork truck in various conditions and spaces.
  • Log and report inventory location changes into the inventory system and/or by paperwork.
  • Log and tag inventory received according to procedures.
  • Assemble customer orders according to work orders.
  • Record pertinent material information to work orders and forms.
  • Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
  • Coordinate with multiple warehouse areas and coworkers to complete tasks.
  • Maintain safety compliance and procedures.
  • Safety sensitive for your own safety and others.
  • Demonstrate initiative to proactively seek out work and complete tasks.
  • Be an enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude.
  • Commit to a workplace with culture and respect.
  • Maintain dependable attendance/punctuality.
  • May work overtime and weekends as assigned.

Job Function
  • Responsible for operating fork truck to lift, move, position, reposition steel and heavy material to stock areas.
  • Load and unload trailers and railroad cars.
  • Able to drive and operate the fork truck in a variety of conditions and spaces.
  • Log and report inventory location changes according to specified procedure into inventory computer system and/or by paperwork.
  • Log and tag inventory received according to specified procedure
  • Assemble customer orders according to work orders
  • Record pertinent material information to work orders, material, or other forms as specified by management
  • Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
  • Works and coordinates with multiple areas of warehouse, and coworkers to complete tasks.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Safety sensitive for his/her owns safety and/or of others safety.

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $22.00/Hr. - USD $23.00/Hr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
