Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions. Forklift Operators support shipping with the move and receiving of materials and products, including warehouse organizing and finished goods inspection.

This role involves loading and unloading trucks and ensuring proper storage in designated locations. Standard work week is 40 hours with occasional overtime and no travel required.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate safe working practices and attention to detail.
• Experience operating a propane sit-down forklift or other powered equipment.
• Ability to follow CWT’s policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Good communication, organization, and time management.
• Basic math, measuring devices, and problem-solving skills.
• Team player able to follow instructions from management and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-shift forklift inspections.
• Record preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output and other key metrics, performing mathematical calculations as needed.
• Safely operate a propane sit-down forklift to move materials and products on the manufacturing floor.
• Visually inspect material for defects; segregate defective product and notify.
• Fill dumpsters from production floor; maintain plant housekeeping.
• Work with production and shipping to follow standard works and improve operations.
• Support the recycling area as needed.
• Fill in on other areas of the plant as required.
• Assist forklift operator II as needed.

Job Summary

Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. Forklift Operators support shipping with the move & receiving of materials and products, including taking part in warehouse organizing and finished goods inspection, taking product off the production line and putting it away in designated locations in the warehouse, loading and unloading customer trucks.

Standard work week 40 hours a week with occasional overtime, no travel required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-shift forklift inspections on

• Safely operate a propane sit-down forklift to move raw materials or finished products throughout the manufacturing floor, which includes, but is not limited to, keeping production line clear and running and keeping product and raw materials properly stored.
• Visually inspect material for quality defects; Segregate defective product and notify
• Fill dumpsters from production floor; Housekeeping of plant (inside and out).
• Work as a team with production and shipping team to follow all facility Standard Works/processes and improve operations.
• Support the recycling area, when needed, and help to keep it

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Highly motivated with a good, sound work

Education and Experience:

• Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED is Preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing setting

Working Conditions:

• Fast paced manufacturing environment where workers are exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures and dust; working with mechanical parts and pinch points; exposure to increased noise levels.
