Independent Can Company in Belcamp, MD is seeking a Forklift Operator to operate a forklift, move materials, and support loading and unloading activities. The role emphasizes safety and adherence to company GMPs and SQF standards.

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift truck to move materials in the plant as well as load and unload trucks. Commitment to and support of the Company Core Values are key to success in this position.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED); and pass the Fork Truck Training certification course. Achievement of high school level math.
Ability to read and speak English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percent as well as draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Valid fork truck certification.
