The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, load, unload, stack, and relocate product and materials. This position supports production flow, inventory accuracy, and compliance with all food safety and workplace safety requirements.

Forklift Operator - Job Description

Location: Yuba City

Job Type: Seasonal, NonExempt

Pay Range: $19 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to move raw and finished product
• Load/unload trucks and stage materials for processing
• Maintain accurate inventory tags and documentation
• Follow all GMPs, HACCP, food safety, and Cal/OSHA safety procedures
• Communicate effectively with team members to support production flow
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year forklift experience (warehouse or food facility preferred)
• Strong safety record
• Ability to work in fastpaced environments and cold storage
• Good coordination, attention to detail, and inventory awareness
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate equipment for extended periods

Work Environment

• Warehouse and production setting, including cold storage
• Regular exposure to outdoor conditions, including hot weather and seasonal temperature extremes
• PPE required. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
