Job summary

Oldcastle APG, Inc. in Florida is seeking an EHS Coordinator to oversee onboarding, safety trainings, incident investigations, and hazard analysis, reinforcing safe work practices.

The role focuses on regulatory compliance, incident prevention, and effective communication with all staff at the plant. You will deliver annual trainings, support supervision in root cause analysis, maintain safety programs, and collaborate on risk reduction with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced industrial

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Safety-related certification (OSHA/NSC/ASSE) is a plus.
• Experience with environmental issues is preferred.
• Some industrial setting experience is preferred.
• Prior training/public speaking experience preferred.
• Familiar with OSHA and federal/state safety, health and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety awareness training and onboarding annually and for new hires.
• Provide authorized safety training as required.
• Participate in incident investigations and identify corrective actions.
• Train supervision in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Provide training on behavior-based safety and share data in daily briefings.
• Drive plant employee participation and facilitate corrective actions for at-risk tasks.
• Update and upgrade training programs and safety documentation.
• Communicate safety awareness to all job classifications via daily huddles and postings.
• Review safety programs for compliance with corporate policies.

Job Summary

The EHS Coordinator will coordinate new hire onboarding and manage safety trainings, handle incident investigations and hazard analysis and will reinforce safe behaviors and conditions.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct safety awareness training and communications annually and during new hire onboarding
• Conduct authorized safety training as required
• Participate in incident investigations and identification of corrective actions
• Provide training for supervision in incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Provide training on behavior based safety, track and communicate collected data
• Drive participation by plant employees
• Facilitate corrective actions for at-risk tasks
• Update/upgrade training programs
• Provide communications with all job classifications on safety awareness in the form of daily huddle topics, postings, etc.
• Review and maintain safety programs and documentation for compliance with corporate policies/procedures
• Provide technical assistance for all safety related plant programs
• Participate in new project installation prestart up safety reviews
• Identify nonroutine tasks and assist in planning and implementing risk reduction efforts
• Provide assistance with environmental activities - stormwater pollution prevention and spill prevention, containment & countermeasures, recycling, etc.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Job Requirements

• High school diploma/equivalent
• Safety-related degree or certification (OSHA, NSC, ASSE) is a plus
• Environmental experience is preferred
• Some experience in an industrial setting is preferred
• Prior experience in training/public speaking preferred
• Familiar with OSHA and federal and state regulations pertaining to safety, health and environmental issues
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office
• Strong written and oral skills
