• Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift equipment inspections and report any issues or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard.
• Complete required shipping, receiving, and other operational paperwork.
• Empty trash containers and wood hoppers as needed.
• Follow all company forklift safety rules, procedures, and policies.
• Participate in safety meetings, continuous improvement initiatives, and other company programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

General Summary

The Forklift Operator II is responsible for loading and unloading materials from trucks and rail cars, transporting products throughout the facility and yard, and maintaining accurate shipping and receiving records. This position works under immediate supervision and follows established instructions and procedures.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Load and unload materials from trucks and rail cars.

Transport materials and products between storage areas and designated work areas.

Break down packs to the correct size and label materials before loading shipments.

Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment.

Complete pre-shift equipment inspections and report any issues or safety concerns.
