Job summary

Clopay Corporation, North America’s largest garage door manufacturer, invites applicants for Forklift Operators / Material Handlers at our Troy, Ohio facility.

Starting pay is $19.40 per hour with an additional $1.00 shift differential; wage increases to $25.61 after 24 months. Responsibilities include unloading shipments, verifying orders, and maintaining inventory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification required.

• Familiarity with RF scanners highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming shipments from trucks.
• Verify shipments against bills of lading, invoices, or records.
• Unpack and inspect products; move to storage areas.
• Maintain inventory records; conduct subinventory transfers.
• Move materials using forklift, tow motor, or hand trucks.
• Assist with inventory counts and report shortages.
• Follow safety regulations and keep area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We currently have openings for Forklift Operators / Material Handlers in our Troy, Ohio location. The starting pay for a Forklift Operator is $19.40 plus $1.00 shift differential. Wage increases up to $25.61 after 24 months.

Shift Schedule

• 2nd shift hours Monday – Friday 3pm-11pm.
• 3rd shift hours Monday – Friday 11pm-7am.
• Weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) 7am-7pm.

Responsibilities Include

• Unload incoming shipments off trucks.
• Compare incoming shipments against bills of lading, invoices, or other records to verify accuracy of order.
• Unpack and examine incoming product for damage; move materials to correct storage area or department.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning materials moved in and out of warehouse, and completing sub inventory transfers.
• Convey incoming materials from receiving platform to storage or work areas by using forklift, tow motor, hand trucks or other devices.
• Perform inventory as required; inform supervisor of any shortages.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform other job‑related duties and activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalent, must be able to lift 50lbs, and have the ability to work at a quick pace.
• Proven experience in warehouse operations.
• Forklift operation certification.
• Proficient in using RF scanners.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
