Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. seeks a Forklift Operator for our distribution center in Temple, Texas. The role uses standup forklifts to move materials, with occasional work at heights. This full-time position starts on the 2nd shift (evening) and includes comprehensive benefits.

Ideal candidates are 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and some forklift experience. Excellent safety-minded teamwork is essential for success in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience operating a forklift and RF Utility (preferable, not required).
• English reading and writing skills sufficient to perform job tasks safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and transport product to assigned slots.
• Identify product to be selected, sorted, and placed.
• Follow aisle specifications for product sorting and placement.
• Enter assigned product for each shift into the system.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products and equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned.

The Forklift Operator uses industrial, powered, computer-equipped standup forklifts to move materials throughout the distribution center and place product in designated areas. You will need to be comfortable working at heights of 20 feet or more at times.

• Pay Rate: $19.75 per hour.
• Start time: 6:00pm to finish

This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
