Job summary

Clorox is seeking a Shipping Operator at the A&M Products Plant Distribution Center in Spring Hill, KS. You will safely operate forklift equipment, transport materials, and support shipping and inventory control to ensure accurate, timely deliveries.

Starting pay is $23.94 per hour with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This onsite role requires attention to detail and the ability to work Thursday–Saturday night shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift experience in manufacturing/warehouse environment is a plus.
• Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift and material handling equipment per policies and OSHA regulations.
• Transport raw materials, packaging materials, and production supplies to manufacturing areas.
• Move finished products from production to designated storage locations.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and railcars; verify quantities and load accuracy.
• Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts and material tracking.
• Complete required paperwork, shipping documents, and electronic system entries accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; follow safety procedures.
• Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.

The PDC is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient management of finished goods inventory, ensuring products are properly stored, handled, and shipped to meet customer and business requirements. This position supports warehouse, shipping, receiving, and production operations through the safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment. The Shipping Operator is responsible for transporting raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility, loading and unloading trailers and railcars, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting the overall flow of materials within the plant. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Schedule: Thursday-Saturday 4:30 PM - 5:00 AM**In this role, you will:**### Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in accordance with company policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.* Transport raw materials, packaging materials, and production supplies to and from manufacturing areas.* Remove finished products from palletizing and production areas and transport them to designated warehouse storage locations.* Load and unload raw materials, finished goods, equipment, and supplies from trucks, trailers, and railcars.* Verify quantities, product identification, and load accuracy during shipping and receiving activities.* Supply production lines with raw materials and packaging materials to support uninterrupted operations.* Perform routine quality checks and inspections to ensure products and materials meet company standards.* Accurately complete required paperwork, inventory transactions, production records, shipping documents, and electronic system entries.* Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts and material tracking.* Conduct pre-shift and post-shift forklift inspections and report equipment issues promptly.* Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks and routine care of material handling equipment as assigned.* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through ongoing housekeeping activities.* Follow all safety, quality, food safety (if applicable), environmental, and operational procedures.* Communicate effectively with supervisors, warehouse personnel, maintenance teams, and production employees.* Participate in required training programs and demonstrate competency in assigned job functions.* Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to achieving department productivity goals.* Prepare reports and assist with performance tracking as required.**What we look for:**### Required Qualifications* High school diploma or GED preferred.* Previous forklift operating experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or industrial environment preferred.* Ability to safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.* Basic math, reading, and documentation skills.* Experience with inventory systems, scanners, or warehouse management systems is a plus.* Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Ability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as needed.### Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.* Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds.* Regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, twist, and climb throughout the work shift.* Ability to lift objects from floor level to waist and chest height.* Operate forklifts and material handling equipment for extended periods.* Work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and moving equipment.* Use equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, push carts, dollies, scissor lifts, high-reach equipment, hydraulic lifts, hoists, and track mobiles.* Maintain visual awareness and attention to surroundings to ensure safe operation of equipment and pedestrian traffic.### Success FactorsSuccessful candidates will demonstrate:* A strong commitment to workplace safety.* Reliable attendance and punctuality.* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.* Attention to detail and accuracy.* Strong communication and teamwork skills.* A positive attitude and willingness to learn.**Starting Pay: $23.94 per hour****Workplace type:**Onsite**Our values-based culture connects to our purpose and empowers people to be their best, professionally and personally.
