Job description

We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated 2nd Shift Forklift Operator to join our team in Sandusky. This role is ideal for someone who takes the initiative, enjoys hands-on work, and has experience operating a variety of material handling equipment. Candidates must be able to obtain company certification within 30 days of hire.

Hours: 3:30pm – 12:00am, Monday – Friday with OT on Saturday's if needed
Pay: The starting pay for this position is $15.50 per hour. Upon completion of company forklift certification, team members will receive a $1.50 increase, bringing the hourly rate to $17.00

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operates a variety of equipment, including but not limited to tow motors, three-wheeled sit-down forklifts, PE rider pallet jacks, stock pickers, and turret trucks.
• Use RF scanners to accurately track inventory and manage product movement.
• Locate, move, stack, and organize heavy materials throughout the warehouse.
• Place or remove palletized merchandise from racking system
• Pick replenishment orders from racking systems
• Work at heights when operating stock pickers or turret trucks.
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience operating various types of powered industrial equipment.
• Highly proficient in using RF scanning devices.
• Comfortable working at elevated heights, up to 40 feet, while navigating our racking system safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic are essential.
