Forklift Operator (FT) - Experience moving vehicles with a forklift preferred!
Must be able to work any shift - grave shift and weekends included!
Summary:
Forklift Operators are responsible for loading and unloading impounded vehicles into the processing and storage lot.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Process impoundment paperwork and maintain compliance with all requirements for coordinating the loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Daily - move all vehicles from the awning area to the designated area and make sure all vehicles are marked correctly before moving.
- Pull marked vehicles for the weekly wrecker and public auction.
- May assist in tire changes, jump-starting cars, pulling inventory, and relocating auctioned cars.
- Make sure insurance, E&E, and/or Stock Vehicles have been processed and numbered.
- Removing visible valuables items from vehicles must be logged in, and make sure to inform clerks of stock or E&E number given to the vehicles to be updated in our system.
- Apply sand and/or dry sweep any oil, gas, or transmission spills.
- Must do a pre-shift and post-shift walk around of the forklift assigned to you and turn in your report to the fuel station. This includes checking the fluids and lights.
- Identifying workplace safety hazards and adhering to safety management standards.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid forklift operator certification or the ability to become forklift certified within the first week of employment.

Education and/or Experience:
- 1-2 years related experience preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or GED.
Language Skills:

Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to accurately use a calculator.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
