Job summary

Mom’s Meals is seeking a Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, shipping and picking for plant operations. The role requires stand-up forklift experience, RF scan proficiency, and strong safety practices in a cold environment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, inventory accuracy, documenting shipments, and maintaining a clean, organized dock area. Must be 18+, fluent in English, and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly on a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of forklift experience.
• Stand up forklift experience.
• Must be able to speak/read/write in English fluently.
• Good basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate equipment.
• Operate stand up forklift.
• Utilize mobile handheld devices for tracking shipments.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps or rope.
• Lift freight up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and complete required documentation.
• Adhere to safety policies and wear appropriate PPE.
• Work in cold environments on a loading dock.

Job description

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for performing various duties in the warehouse in a fast-paced lean environment to include: receiving and put-away of all inbound receipts, shipping, and picking of products to support Plant operations. Maintain inventory accuracy. Monitor coolers/freezer temperatures. Responsible for keeping warehouse area organized. Must have stand-up forklift and RF scan gun experience.

Available shift

2nd shift: Monday - Thursday 2:30PM - 12:30AM

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand as needed
• Must be able to operate stand up forklift
• Utilize mobile handheld devices for tracking shipments
• Safely climb in and out of trailers
• Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently)
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope)
• Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that has potential to be below freezing and may become slippery
• Safely reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports
• Adhere to company safety policies
• Frequent contact with co-workers and supervisors; fast-paced and deadline oriented
• Safely work in cold weather conditions

Required Skills and Experience

• 2-4 years' prior forklift experience
• Stand up forklift experience
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to speak/read/write in English fluently
• Good basic math skills
