Job summary

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC is seeking a Forklift Operator to move products throughout the warehouse and support drivers with loading and unloading. The role requires forklift operation, RF scanning, and accurate handling of materials in a fast-paced setting.

The position is 1st shift, 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday–Friday with occasional weekend shifts. Must lift 50+ lbs, work overtime, and communicate in English. Prior warehouse experience and certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift certification and be able to operate pallet jacks
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least 1 year warehouse experience preferred
• Must lift 50+ lbs and work overtime including weekends
• English reading/writing required
• Experience with RF scanner is required
• Must be able to read and follow instructions

Responsibilities

• Utilize manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers to load and unload trucks
• Material handling may include: picking, packing, scanning, kitting, counting products
• Must ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately
• Identifying and annotating overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jacks, etc.
• Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure safe and secure work environment including all TSA and OSHA guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

Role focuses on movement of products throughout the warehouse using various types of Material Handling equipment. Role requires the skills and experience to operate/drive manual handling equipment in accordance with local legislation. These roles will mostly require an externally accredited qualification/licence. Typical titles include Forklift operator, Equipment Operator, MHE Operator

• Must be Forklift Certified
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous warehouse experience preferred - 1 year experience
• Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks and banding/shrink wrap material
• Experience using a RF scan gun required
• Previous forklift certifications preferred
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, occasional weekends
• Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions well
• Must have the ability to work well with others
• High attention to detail required
• Must have the ability to work well with others with little supervision
• Must be able to lift 50+lbs. unassisted
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Position requires employees to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend and lift objects above their head. Employees must be able to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted and use pallet jacks and forklifts.

Pay Range

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour

• The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws. eed
