Job summary

West Fraser in South Carolina is hiring for a forklift operator. You will conduct daily lift-truck inspections, perform maintenance checks, and load/unload materials safely to meet shipment schedules. Strong communication and a safety-first mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required or preferred.
• Minimum two years of forklift operation experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Industrial experience and related education are assets.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and adapt to a production schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of lift trucks and complete required forms.
• Ensure lift truck maintenance and servicing requirements are met.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Check load contents for accuracy and secure materials.
• Ensure all products are shipped on schedule.
• Maintain contact with supervisor and resolve issues as they arise.
