Job summary

US Foods is seeking Forklift Operators to join our team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will operate powered industrial equipment to move palletized product from loading docks to designated storage or pick areas, ensuring safe handling and accurate placement.

Prior forklift experience and basic math skills are preferred, with on-the-job training provided. The role offers paid training, overtime opportunities, and a competitive starting hourly rate while working a 4-day, 10-hour

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certification for Material Handling Equipment preferred.
• Ability to read/write and perform basic math; understand Voxware commands.

Responsibilities

• Transport pallet loads from dock to correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment; ensure pallets are secure to avoid damage or injury.
• Replenish pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection.
• Perform daily safety checks including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher.
• Record all product, equipment and warehouse damage.
• Maintain cleanliness of aisles by removing debris from floor and racks.

Schedule: 4 days, 10hrs, 5th day on-call

Tuesday-Saturday , 7:00am until 5:30pm ( one of these days is on-call )

BASIC PURPOSE

Operate an industrial forklift to perform material handling assignments. Identify and transport material to and from storage areas and loading dock. Operate forklift/high-lift in order to lower stock to ground level pick-level slots from higher level reserve slots during night shift & day shift, and to put received stock in higher level storage slots during the day shift using safe operating practices.

What you bring to the table

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Related Experience: Job-related certification for Material Handling Equipment; Prior Selector and/or Forklift experience is preferred.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Able to read and write legibly; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); must be able to understand Voxware commands.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $22.95 and $24.49. This role may also receive overtime compensation and shift differential where applicable.
