Job summary

Bath & Body Works in the United States distribution network seeks a High-Lift Operator to lift and stack merchandise using forklifts and related equipment. The role focuses on efficient flow of goods through the distribution center, maintaining safety and accurate paperwork.

You will operate WMS and RF scanners, follow directions, and work with teams to meet productivity targets. Previous DC experience is a plus; training is provided; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

Summary

High-Lift Operators lift and stack merchandise on and off conveyor lines, semi-trailers, pallets, storage containers and racks within the distribution center. High-Lift Operators perform their duties using a variety of powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, stand-up forklifts, order selectors and other equipment. Operators are expected to operate power equipment for at least 80% of their working hours. High-Lift Operators are also responsible for handling full cases of product, including consistent lifting of cartons and merchandise on and off conveyor lines, pallets and other storage containers. Maintain and verify documentation and information to facilitate the flow of merchandise through the distribution center.

Responsibilities

• Comprehend and follow written and verbal directions.
• Use basic math skills to verify quantities, make adjustments, complete worksheets and accurately complete order paperwork.
• Operate Warehouse Management System (WMS), Radio Frequency (RF) scanners and other equipment needed to perform job duties.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, ability to follow directions and apply problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify product and match numbers.
• Ability to operate forklifts, stand-up forklifts, order selectors and other powered equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous experience in a distribution center environment useful.
• Must maintain flexibility regarding job assignments, including other departments, brands, locations, and required overtime.
• Meet productivity standards after successfully completing training.
• Must be able to work well with others.
• Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety, hazardous material and OSHA training, rules, and reporting.
• Standing or walking for the duration of the shift is necessary; sitting for extended periods during the shift may not be possible.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and assist in all areas, including but not limited to: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more up to 50% of the working hours; lifting may be above or below shoulder level and above or below waist level. Ability to push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel, and stoop on a frequent basis. Ability to use hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity to include grasping and holding on a continuous basis. Ability to function in elevated locations as required. Ability to successfully complete power equipment training.
