Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Forklift Operator in Napoleon, OH. The role involves safely transporting materials, supporting inventory movement, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations.

Looking for Forklift Operator jobs in Napoleon where your equipment skills keep warehouse operations moving? This opportunity lets you safely transport materials, support inventory movement, and help maintain efficient warehouse and distribution operations.

Job Duties
  • Loading, unloading, and stacking goods to assigned places.
  • Locating and moving products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
  • Identifying damages and reporting shortages or quality deficiencies to the Warehouse Manager.
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.
Experience Requirements
  • Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation.
  • Ability to accurately identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations.
  • Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
  • Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
  • Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator.
  • Ability to work safely, follow safety procedures, operate equipment safely, and to recognize and respond to unsafe working conditions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the Supervisor and ability to take direction from the Supervisor.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 75 pounds when required.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
  • Position requires lifting, maneuvering, and positioning cases of product, furniture, and other materials weighing up to pounds, both independently and with assistance.
  • Employees regularly use dollies, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment to move heavy, bulky, or oversized items.
  • Proper ergonomic techniques are always required, including team lifting when appropriate and the use of mechanical aids to reduce strain and prevent injury.
  • Position involves frequent manual material handling and repetitive physical activity; adherence to ergonomic and safety training is required.
  • May be required to wear appropriate PPE, including steel-toed shoes or boots, and other site-specific protective equipment as required by facility safety standards.
