Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Staffmark is hiring experienced Forklift Operators for warehouse, manufacturing, and distribution facilities throughout the Minneapolis area. This role involves safely operating material handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store products in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties

• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the facility
• Follow company safety policies and procedures
• Inspect equipment before use and report maintenance concerns
• Maintain an organized and clean work area
• Assist with inventory movement and warehouse operations as needed

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation.
• Ability to accurately identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations.
• Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
• Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
