Job summary

Staffmark Group in Edgerton, KS seeks a dependable Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations. You will operate sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment, load and unload shipments, and help maintain accurate inventory and order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Receive inbound shipments and store inventory in designated locations.
  • Pick, pull, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Load trailers, containers, and rail cars accurately and efficiently.
  • Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance concerns.
  • Verify inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and damage-free condition.
  • Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and inventory control processes.
  • Follow safety procedures, OSHA standards, and customer requirements at all times.
  • Coordinate with transportation, customer service, and maintenance teams as needed.

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

Schedules: Available schedules include 4 x 10-hour shifts or 5 x 8-hour shifts.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
  • Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
  • Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
