Job summary

Texas Pipe And Supply Company is seeking an experienced warehouse associate at our Mobile, AL facility to support shipping and receiving operations. The role involves unloading trucks, inspecting merchandise, and organizing stock in racks and bins while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The ideal candidate has forklift experience (3+ years) and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work self-directed and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of warehouse related experience in shipping and receiving.
• 3+ years of forklift experience.
• Forklift certification required.
• Experience handling pipe (both carbon and stainless steel) a plus.
• Excellent work ethic: ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player.
• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
• Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• A minimum of 40 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
• Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
• Wear the proper safety equipment at all times
• Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
• Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. (with the proper lifting equipment)
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
