Job summary

Hamilton-Ryker in Midway, KY is seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator to move materials, support production, and manage shipping duties. The role requires a sit-down forklift and basic computer skills, with overtime expected on a daily basis. This is a temp-to-hire position offering weekly pay and benefits.

Candidates must have 2 years forklift experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license. Drug/background checks and attendance are required.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years forklift experience.
• Must have Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have Valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to pass client substance abuse & background policy.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift.
• Supply materials to production lines and move finished product to storage.
• Move finished product to storage areas.
• Perform Shipping & Receiving duties.
• Stock lines with raw material and empty totes.
• Load and unload product from trucks, sometimes by hand.
• Scan materials and products for shipping.
• Use computer to create shipping documentation.
• Maintain FIFO for finished goods and raw materials.
• Assist with inventory prep and cycle counting.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes.

Position: Material Handler/Forklift Operator

Location: Midway, KY

Shifts

1st: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

2nd: Monday - Friday 4:00pm - 12:30am

Overtime is mandatory on a daily basis

Pay: $16.00 w/ .50 shift differential

What you’ll do:

• Operating a Sit-downforklift
• Support and assist the production team by supplying materials to the lines and moving finished product to storage.
• Move finished product to storage areas
• Perform Shipping & Receiving duties
• Stock lines with raw material and empty totes.
• Loading and Unloading of product from trucks, In some cases by hand.
• Scanning Materials and products for shipping
• Use of computerto create shipping documentation
• Maintain FIFO (First in First out) for Finished Goodand raw material
• Assist with inventory prep and cycle counting
• Assist and support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes
• Perform other related duties as assigned

What we need from you:

• Must be at least18 years of age or over
• Must comply with client substance abuse & backgroundpolicy
• Must have Highschool Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years previous Forklift experience
• Valid Drivers License
• Basic computer skills
