Job summary

Magna International, Inc in Michigan is seeking a Regular/ Permanent worker to support seating production. You will move parts on the floor, load and unload trucks, and ensure timely parts supply to assembly stations.

You will work in a safety-conscious environment with opportunities for on-the-job training, benefits enrollment after probation, and potential for career advancement within Magna Seating.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to operate a powered industrial truck.
  • Ability to move parts on production floor and in shipping/receiving areas.
  • Maintain FIFO stock and assist with inventories.
  • Follow health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Able to complete required paperwork accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Move parts on the production floor and in the shipping/receiving areas using powered equipment.
  • Supply parts to assembly stations and sequencing lanes.
  • Load and unload parts from trucks.
  • Maintain organized stock (FIFO) and assist with inventories.
  • Participate in Kaizen/MPS activities and document work.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and comply with safety policies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Rate of pay: $18.75 per hour (weekly pay)
  • Shift premium: $0.50 per hour for afternoon/evening shift
  • Annual pay increases guaranteed on seniority date; top rate of $26.50 upon completion of 60-months

Your contributions to the team?
  • Moves parts on the production floor and in the shipping/receiving area through the operation of a powered industrial truck.
  • Supplies parts to assembly stations and sequencing lanes in a timely manner.
  • Loads and unloads parts from trucks.
  • Maintains stock in an organized fashion (FIFO).
  • Assists with monthly physical inventories and daily cycle counts.
  • Initiates, recommends or provides solutions through appropriate channels; participates in Kaizen/MPS activities.
  • Completes all paperwork associated with the job assignment in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards in accordance with the Magna Employee Charter, the Occupational Health & Safety Act. and the Michigan Occupational Health & Safety Act.
